{"id":3164,"date":"2021-11-25T16:28:17","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T08:28:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csspsinag.wordpress.com\/?p=3164"},"modified":"2021-11-25T16:28:17","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T08:28:17","slug":"limited-f2f-classes-guidelines-now-awaiting-chancy-approval-sans-students-consultation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sinag.press\/news\/2021\/11\/25\/limited-f2f-classes-guidelines-now-awaiting-chancy-approval-sans-students-consultation\/","title":{"rendered":"Limited F2F classes guidelines now awaiting Chancy approval sans students consultation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sentiments were raised, however, regarding the OVCAA\u2019s lack of \u201cthorough review\u201d and consultation with the studentry regarding the limited F2F classes guidelines.&nbsp;USC Chairperson Jonas Abadilla laments it is crucial that as the \u201cbiggest stakeholders of the university,\u201d the students must be made aware of the \u201cconsulted existing policies\u201d up for approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n<!--noteaser-->\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-thumbnail\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sinag.press\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/picture1-6.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sinag.press\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/picture1-6.png?w=86\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1753\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (OVCAA), alongside the Face to Face (F2F) Ad Hoc Committee, has revised the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/USCUPDiliman\/posts\/4643778399015831\"><strong>policies for the reopening of classes<\/strong><\/a>, and is now submitted to the Office of the Chancellor (OC) for approval, the University Student Council (USC) reports.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last November 19, Friday, the USC submitted a letter to the OVCAA and the F2F Ad Hoc Committee urging for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/USCUPDiliman\/posts\/4626937090699962\"><strong>immediate release of the limited F2F guidelines and policies<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong> These guidelines adhered to the concerns raised during the consultation in October.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPublishing this in the earliest time possible would help inform the community about the protocols to be put in place whenever limited face to face classes start and conduct necessary preparations on their part,\u201d stated the USC in their letter.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sentiments were raised, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jonasabadilla\/status\/1463499556646109184?s=20\"><strong>regarding the OVCAA\u2019s lack of \u201cthorough review\u201d and consultation with the studentry<\/strong><\/a> regarding the limited F2F classes guidelines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">USC Chairperson Jonas Abadilla laments it is crucial that as the \u201cbiggest stakeholders of the university,\u201d the students must be made aware of the \u201cconsulted existing policies\u201d up for approval. Abadilla also demands that dialogues be held before implementation of the said policy in the university.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the local level, the CSSP Student Council, alongside Rise for Education &#8211; UP Diliman and the League of College Councils, released a student readiness sensing form to assess the current conditions of the student body to help in crafting \u201cpolicies that would be beneficial for their safety and welfare.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The said form may be answered here: <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/LBESensing\">http:\/\/bit.ly\/LBESensing<\/a>.
