{"id":3395,"date":"2021-12-23T21:23:06","date_gmt":"2021-12-23T13:23:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csspsinag.wordpress.com\/?p=3395"},"modified":"2021-12-23T21:23:06","modified_gmt":"2021-12-23T13:23:06","slug":"cssp-sc-demands-admin-to-apply-for-f2f-classes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sinag.press\/news\/2021\/12\/23\/cssp-sc-demands-admin-to-apply-for-f2f-classes\/","title":{"rendered":"CSSP SC demands admin to apply for F2F classes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As the Commission on Higher Education allowed UP to hold face-to-face classes in January, the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy Student Council submitted a position paper on December 18 and launched a signature campaign today urging university officials to allow physical classes for CSSP students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n<!--noteaser-->\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sinag.press\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/angee.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sinag.press\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/angee.png?w=167\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1175\" width=\"91\" height=\"160\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As the Commission on Higher Education allowed UP to hold face-to-face classes in January, the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy Student Council submitted a position paper on December 18 and launched a signature campaign today urging university officials to allow physical classes for CSSP students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UP Diliman Chancellor Fidel Nemenzo approved the guidelines on the conduct of face-to-face classes on November 29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>READ:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>https:\/\/sinag.press\/news\/&#8230;\/limited-f2f-classes&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The position paper was crafted by the Council with the help of the UP Diliman USC, Rise for Education, UPD, and Department Core Groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>College-specific demands center on the application to allow physical classes in CSSP. As per the eGASC update last December 11, CSSP was reported to be one of the additional colleges who applied for F2F classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But no clear announcements were posted in the Facebook pages of CSSP offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Backed with data gathered from around 25% of CSSP student population, other proposals of the CSSP SC include the need for student representation in F2F classes policy-making processes, transparent and timely updates on the developments of the application, a proper transition period, and sufficient resources and aid to different sectors in the college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They also highlighted calls for ligtas na balik eskwela across UP Diliman, the UP System, and in the whole country as the Philippines remains to be the last to open most of its schools amid the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CSSP SC calls on students to amplify the calls for the safe resumption of F2F classes. &#8220;Together, let us stand firm for a proactive and pro-people collaboration towards building a consultative LNBE roadmap patterned to the actual conditions and capacity of the College&#8217;s constituents,&#8221; they added in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The
