Kahit nasa loob pa ng mga bahay ang mga residente at ang kanilang gamit, patuloy lamang ang paggiba ng mga awtoridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hindi pa rin naman nakapagbibigay ng pinal na hatol ang korte ukol sa pagpapaalis sa mga residente, ngunit libo-libo nang pamilya \u2014 maging ang mga pamilyang higit dalawang dekada nang nakatira sa lugar \u2014 ang nawalan ng tirahan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tinangka sanang pigilan ng mga residente ang demolisyon sa pamamagitan ng pagbabarikada, ngunit marahas itong binuwag ng mga awtoridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pinapaalis ng lokal na gobyerno ang mga residente sa Brgy. Viente Reales dahil sa binabalak nilang ipatayo na pampublikong pabahay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ayon naman sa mga residente, walang naganap na konsultasyon ukol dito, hindi nila kailanman ito pinahintulutan, at kakarampot lamang ang iniaalok ng lungsod na tulong-pinansyal para sa kanila.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bago pa ang girian ngayong araw, naghain na ng liham ang mga residente kay Mayor Wes Gatchalian at iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno upang patigilin ang demolisyon, ngunit walang tumugon sa mga ito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noong nakaraang buwan, Hunyo 15, 2023, nagsulat ng liham ang mga miyembro ng Cheng Ville Phase 2 at 5 upang hilingin ang pagtigil sa magaganap na demolisyon dahil sa paglabag nito sa batas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naghain din sila ng reklamo ukol dito laban sa mga opisyales ng lungsod, kasama ang dating alkalde na si Rex Gatchalian. Inihain ito sa Human Settlements Adjudication Commission – National Capital Region Adjudication branch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nakipag-ugnayan na rin ang mga residente sa Commission of Human Rights at Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor upang makahiling ng diyalogo kay Mayor Wes Gatchalian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sa kasalukuyan, patuloy pa ring hinahamon mga residente ang mga opisyal ng lungsod na harapin sila, pakinggan ang kanilang mga hinaing, at huwag apakan ang kanilang karapatan sa tirahan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
